Chapter Advisory Council
The AIGA Chapter Advisory Council connects local board members with the AIGA Board, its staff, and the national design community. Beginning in 2020, AIGA Chapter Advisory Council members are elected by their respective regions and serve staggered two-year terms.

Council Responsibilities
When engaging with the AIGA Board and national staff, the Chapter Advisory Council:
Nurtures cross-chapter connections throughout the national organization, with a primary focus on their respective regions.
Utilizes their prior experience as chapter leaders to advise current leaders on best practices in nonprofit governance and strategic vision.
Gathers chapter perspectives and feedback to share with the AIGA Board and staff.
Facilitates chapter development through remote check-ins and national training events.
When engaging with the AIGA Board and national staff, the Chapter Advisory Council:
Amplifies and recognizes outstanding offerings and results from chapters and their leaders.
Elevates chapter-level operations crises and Code of Conduct concerns to AIGA Board and staff.
Helps ensure chapter leaders in their respective region are aware of relevant national updates and information.
The CAC Chair serves on the AIGA Board Community Committee to represent and promote chapters' perspectives and best interests.
Chapter Advisory Council representatives have the following qualifications:
Successful completion of one full term of board leadership, comprising at least two consecutive years of service.
